CONFÉRENCE TRILATÉRALE AU LYCÉE RAVEL ET HOMMAGE AUX RÉSISTANTS ET COMBATTANTS DE LA SECONDE GUERRE MONDIALE

 La cité solaire Ravel a reçu, entre le 16 et le 20 juin 2025, dans le cadre de l'eTwinning CITIZEN's.GAIN, deux représentantes (un enseignante et une élève) du Lycée polonais "Społeczne Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Polskich Noblistów" situé à Kwidzyn, partenaire historique du Lycée Ravel(membre, à ses côtés, entre 2021 et 2023, du dispositif ERASMUS+ TERRE DE LÉGENDES et candidat, en 2025, à un nouveau partenariat simplifié subventionné par la commission européenne). 

CLIQUEZ SUR LE DRAPEAU POLONAIS POUR PRENDRE CONNAISSANCEDES DÉCISIONS PRISES CONCERNANT ACMÉ 2026  ET LES PROJETS DE CANDIDATURE COMMUNE ERASMUS+

La professeure venue de Poméranie, Mme Angela Baas, a notamment pris part à un séminaire de coordination avec les pilotes du dispositif éducatif ACMÉ RESISTANCE au Pays Basque (les lycées de Beasain, en Gipuzkoa, et celui de Basauri, en Biscaye, mais également l'IES Plaza de la Cruz de Pampelune ayant tous envoyé des professeurs vers la Cité des Corsaires pour prendre part, le 18 juin, à une grande concertation pédagogique). 

De même qu'elle a pu intervenir dans le cadre du colloque sur les échanges transfrontaliers mis en place (ACROSS FRONTIERS) conjointement par la Ligue ILARGIA et le lycée Ravel et qu'elle s'est jointe aux convives invités au déjeuner officiel ayant clos les travaux de la conférence.

L'équipe pédagogique luzienne et ses amies polonaises ont également commémoré, à l'occasion des cérémonies du 18 juin, l'esprit de Résistance et les sacrifices des héros de la Libération, honorant spécialement la mémoire des soldats Polonais et des pêcheurs locaux impliqués dans la grande évacuation de juin 1940 (opération ARIEL). Cette rencontre associant des lycées situés dans trois états de l'Union Européenne (Pologne, Espagne et France) a débouché sur des contacts avec des représentants associatifs (parmi lesquels, une déléguée de la Cimade, les dirigeants de l'Association Amitiés France-Pologne, etc.) et a débouché sur une invitation, par la Municipalité de Saint-Jean-de-luz (soutien local des projets internationaux du Lycée Ravel) au Vin d'Honneur organisé en conclusion des cérémonies du 18 juin. A noter que le lycée Ravel prévoit d'envoyer dès l'année scolaire prochaine (sans doute vers Pâques) une vingtaine d'élèves de Terminale, vers Cracovie (Auschwitz) puis Gdansk (Westerplatte, musée Solidarnosc) avant de renouveler l'activité en 2027 - grâce à des mobilités accréditées ; mais aussi de recevoir en mai 2026 un groupe de lycéens venant de Kwidzyn. Par ailleurs, le principal thème des travaux initiés en Pays Basque a porté en 2025 sur l'étude des phénomènes totalitaires, dans l'Histoire comme dans une perspective d'éducation à la Citoyenneté, sujet qui reste inscrit à l'agenda de l'année 2026 et permet, entre autres, des débats croisés sur la mémoire du Franquisme, du Stalinisme ou du Nazisme et sur le devoir de Défense...

The Ravel "Cité Scolaire" received, as part of eTwinning CITIZEN's.GAIN, two representatives (a teacher and a student) from the Polish High School named  "Społeczne Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Polskich Noblistów" and located in Kwidzyn, a long-standing partner of the Ravel High School (a member, alongside it, between 2021 and 2023, of the ERASMUS+ TERRE DE LÉGENDES scheme and a candidate, in 2025, for a new simplified partnership subsidized by the European Commission).

SMUN-0 / TEN CLIMATE AMBASSADORS WERE SELECTED IN LYCÉE RAVEL

 

Sélection de dix ambassadeurs du climat (partenariat SMUN ERASMUS+)

Une délégation de lycéens luziens participera l'année scolaire prochaine à une conférence internationale sur la crise environnementale et les transitions à accomplir pour y faire face. Les élèves Français, Polonais, Allemands et Turcs présents à Antalya du 20 au 24 octobre devront négocier "au format ONU" et concilier les intérêts de l'Humanité (et de la planète) avec ceux des pays qu'ils représenteront pour l'occasion.

Selection of ten climate ambassadors (SMUN ERASMUS+ partnership)

A delegation of high school students from Saint Jean de Luz will participate next school year in an international conference on the environmental crisis and the transitions needed to address it. The French, Polish, German, and Turkish students attending Antalya from October 20th to 24th will negotiate "in UN format" and reconcile the interests of humanity (and the planet) with those of the countries they will represent for the occasion.

Il s'agit de responsabiliser les élèves, de leur apprendre à négocier, développer leurs capacités orales et leur compétence linguistique. Tels sont les principaux objectifs du partenariat SMUN implanté en 2025, dans le cadre duquel le Lycée Ravel vient de participer à une grande conférence en distanciel le 28 mai 

The aim is to empower students, teach them how to negotiate, and develop their oral and language skills. These are the main objectives of the SMUN partnership established in 2025, as part of which Lycée Ravel recently participated in a major remote conference implemented by the coordinator from Esslingen, on May 28.

Le lycée Ravel est invité à cette manifestation par l'association Ligue ILARGIA, et les professeurs responsables (Mme Roques et M Vanderplancke) viennent de procéder à la sélection des bénéficiaires (une liste complémentaire a été préparée pour le cas où la jauge du voyage pourrait être augmentée).

ERASMUS MOB 2025 – jours 4 et 5

« LIBERTÉS ET VALEURS EUROPÉENNES » : LA SEMAINE DÉDIÉE AUX COOPÉRATIONS TRANSNATIONALES SE TERMINE PAR UN TRAVAIL DE MÉMOIRE ET UN HOMMAGE À MAURICE RAVEL

Rencontres virtuelles et concrètes, ouverture culturelle

Ce jeudi 22 mai, les lycéens de Seconde BFI ont participé à un échange avec les responsables et animateurs de « l'Espace Ressource Jeunes » qui leur a permis de se familiariser avec cette structure tout en ayant un débat sur les valeurs européennes et les politiques de Prévention. Ils ont aidé leurs hôtes Lettons, présents du 19 au 23 mai à Saint-Jean-de-Luz, à terminer le cycle de street interviews qui constituait le but principal de leur voyage scolaire.

Les mêmes élèves ont pu échanger à distance, au cours de la même journée, avec leurs camarades du Lycée de Basauri, invité par la ligue ILARGIA à prendre une part active au projet ACMÉ RESISTANCE : Fight for Freedom. Des présentations (en Anglais) ont été montrées aux élèves, qui ont pu en discuter librement dans leur langue naturelle (en l'occurrence, l'Espagnol) encadrés par M Vanderplancke et Mme Augé, organisateurs de la visioconférence.

La délégation de Kekava (emmenée notamment par Mme Meziniece, membre fondatrice d ela Ligue ILARGIA)  a visité de son côté la château de « La Motta » à Saint-Sébastien pour explorer, grâce à l'exemple du Pays Basque, l'unité et la diversité culturelle de l'Europe et le rôle ambigu des frontières (la semaine ERASMUS MOB a permis de diffuser les résultats du partenariat Be.Bo.P. Pour « Beyond Boundaries : People » lancé en 2023 et devant s'achever en 2026, un projet ERASMUS+ auquel le Lycée Ravel mais aussi l'école secondaire de Baldone participent).

Le vendredi 23 mai sera spécialement consacré à la civilisation de l'Europe et à son Histoire, au travers d'une conférence musicale sur « Maurice Ravel, le Pays basque et la Grande Guerre » donnée par M Étienne Rousseau.

La semaine s'achèvera par une remise de diplômes symbolique à ceux des apprenants français n'en ayant pas reçus mercredi, puis par un dîner officiel (mais convivial et détendu).

Nous sommes également reconnaissants du soutien apporté par la Ville et ses élues, notamment par Mme Arribas, adjointe chargée des affaires scolaires, et Mme Loubet-Latour, comme par le Directeur du Service Jeunesse M Hériteau, et son équipe, enfin par le chef de cabinet de M. le Maire, M Bansard. La présence de Mme Tariol, conseillère régionale, le vendredi 23 mai, nous honore également.

THE WEEK DEDICATED TO TRANSNATIONAL COOPERATION (event named ERASMUS MOB 2025) CLOSES WITH A MEMORIAL ACTIVITY AND A TRIBUTE TO MAURICE RAVEL

Virtual and In-Person Meetings, Cultural Outreach

This Thursday, May 22nd, 10th grade BFI high school students participated in a discussion with the leaders and facilitators of the "Youth Resource Space," which allowed them to familiarize themselves with this organization while engaging in a discussion on European values ​​and prevention policies. They helped their Latvian hosts, present from May 19th to 23rd in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, complete the series of street interviews that was the main goal of their school trip.

The same students were able to interact remotely, during the same day, with their classmates from Basauri High School, invited by the ILARGIA League to take an active part in the ACMÉ RESISTANCE: Fight for Freedom project. Presentations (in English) were shown to the students, who were able to discuss them freely in their native language (in this case, Spanish), supervised by Mr. Vanderplancke and Ms. Augé, organizers of the videoconference.

The Kekava delegation visited La Motta Castle in San Sebastian to explore, through the example of the Basque Country, the unity and cultural diversity of Europe and the ambiguous role of borders (the ERASMUS MOB week provided an opportunity to disseminate the results of the Be.Bo.P. partnership for "Beyond Boundaries: People," launched in 2023 and scheduled to end in 2026, an ERASMUS+ project in which both the Ravel High School and the Baldone Secondary School are participating).

Friday, May 23rd, will be dedicated to European civilization and history, with a musical lecture on "Maurice Ravel, the Basque Country, and the Great War" given by Étienne Rousseau.

The week will conclude with a symbolic presentation of diplomas to those French students who did not receive one on Wednesday, followed by an official (but convivial and relaxed) dinner.

Reçus en mairie par Mme Arribas, adjointe chargée des affaires scolaires, en présence de Mme Loubet élèves, du Directeur du Service Jeunesse et du chef de cabinet de M. le Maire les lycéens de Première HGGSP  et leurs camarades venus de la région de Riga pour travailler avec eux toute cette semaine se sont vus remettre un certificat de présence ERASMUS+ après qu'ils aient terminé la production conjointe de vidéos sur les valeurs européennes et les enjeux environnementaux.

Les élèves avaient par ailleurs échangé dans la matinée les résultats de leurs réflexions sur ces sujets (les élèves Lettons ayant produit une étude sur le recyclage et les Français rendu compte de l'avancement du partenariat SMUN dédié à la simulation des débats de l'ONU sur l'adaptation au changement climatique, porté par la ligue ILARGIA et M Vanderplancke avec le concours du lycée Ravel et notamment celui de Mme Roques). 

Mercredi après-midi, l'équipe Lettone au grand complet et quelques professeurs du Lycée Ravel (M Pacholczyk, M Puyjalon et M Vanderplancke) ont répondu à l'invitation de la Ligue ILARGIA qui, dans le cadre d'un partenariat avec la MAIF, organisait une rencontre avec l'association RESAK. Les jeunes gens présents ont pu procéder au broyage de résidus plastiques, et à la fabrication d'objets recyclés, mais aussi profiter d'une exposition originale de peintures sur le sujet des océans (des aquarelles dont la particularité était d'être faite avec de l'eau de mer). Ils ont également interviewé les militants de RESAK et rencontré Mme Ettori, de la MAIF.

(ERASMUS MOB 2025 - Day 3)

Welcomed to the town hall by Ms. Arribas, Deputy Director of School Affairs, in the presence of Ms. Loubet, the student body, the Director of Youth Services, and the Mayor's Chief of Staff, the HGGSP high school students and their classmates who came from the Riga region to work with them all week were presented with an ERASMUS+ attendance certificate after completing the joint production of videos on European values ​​and environmental issues. 

The students also shared the results of their discussions on these topics in the morning (the Latvian students produced a study on recycling, and the French reported on the progress of the SMUN partnership dedicated to simulating the UN debates on adaptation to climate change).

On Wednesday afternoon, the entire Latvian team and several teachers from Lycée Ravel (Ms. Pacholczyk, Ms. Puyjalon, and Ms. Vanderplancke) responded to an invitation from the ILARGIA League, which, as part of a partnership with MAIF, was organizing a meeting with the RESAK association. The young people present were able to shred plastic waste and make recycled objects, as well as enjoy an original exhibition of paintings on the subject of the oceans (watercolors whose unique feature was that they were made with seawater). They also interviewed RESAK activists and met Ms. Ettori of MAIF.

A certificate was given on Wednesday the 17th to the students having taken part in the special week dedicated to European projects and to the promotion of the internationalization of learnings wich was implemented in Lycée Ravel (for the 4th year).

Les élèves de Première ayant contribué à alimenter le site de podcast destiné à devenir l'outil de diffusion privilégié du futur partenariat TOUS CITOYENS (ACMÉ) : toute la classe, impliquée dans le cadre du projet d'EMC et le groupe OIB - qui a effectué une partie des mobilités sortantes dans le cadre du partenariat eVe+ s'est vue décerner un diplôme symbolique marquant sa participation en tant qu'eTwinner dans le projet FORUM NOAH.

Quatre des six écoles censées rejoindre l'équipe ACMÉ sont déjà réunies dans le cadre de ce projet et nous invitons nos partenaires Tchèques et Polonais à s'y associer. 

Students of "Premières" who contributed to produce some contents for the podcast site called QUINTESSENCE.RADIO intended to become the preferred dissemination tool of the future ALL CITIZENS (ACMÉ) partnership: the whole class, as part of the EMC project - but some of the classmates  have completed some outgoing mobilityies as participants in the eVe+ partnership was awarded a symbolic diploma marking their participation as eTwinners in the FORUM NOAH project.

Four of the six schools supposed to join the ACMÉ team have already come together in the framework of this project and we invite our Czech and Polish partners to join in!

In the framework of the ERASMUS MOB event implemented in 2023 with the help of the ILARGIA LEAGUE, Ravel High School and partners, were already made :

on the 9th of May (Tuesday, Journée de l'Europe)

A school trip to Licq-Atherey to take part in the eVe+ QUINTESSENCE ERASMUS+ innovative partnership

on the 10th (Wednesday)

A Drawing workshops to take part in the Graphic Novels contest created to achieve the eVe+ project

and

A walk in Basque mountains with friends of the Eilert Sundt school (Norway) on the 9th of May in order to disseminate the mobility project held by EURO ANGLAIS section.

on the 11th (Thursday)

A videoconference with schools in Poland, Romania and Turkiyë in support of the E+ L.o.L. TERRE DE LÉGENDES cooperative partnership : Colegiul Economic Iulian Pop (Cluj-Napoca), Imam Hatip school (Antalya), Społeczne Liceum im. Polskich Noblistów w Kwidzynie.

on the 12th (Thursday)

A Sci-Fi movie and a debate at LE SELECT cinéma. To present to young people the end of World we are all wishing to avoid. The goal is to disseminate this activity and all the CINÉ-RENCONTRES cultural impacts and to support the festival named "L'être et le vivant" initiated by bookshop "le cinquième art".

ERASMUS MOB IV SOON IMPLEMENTED IN MAY 2023

 

Lycée Ravel's team will organize (with the help of the ILARGIA League for Reuse of Genial pedagogic Innovations) a week centered on european cooperative actions from the 9th to the 17th of May in order to disseminate the mobilities projects (KA1) and partnerships (KA2) or eTwinnings hold by students and teachers in the framework of the ERASMUS+ programme. Remote workshops will be done with guests from: PORTUGAL, ROMANIA, BULGARIA, TÜRKIYE, ITALY, SPAIN, POLAND OR LATVIA..

Hello:

the concrete tasks we can share are becoming the focus by now. As I told to several of yours yesterday, our main intellectual ouput will be to make a podcast site (a sort of webradio, with also several videos in order to publish first some contents using national languages - but giving english subtittles). This site will be dedicated to citizenship. and especially to risponsibility toward Life in a global approach of citizenship (at the end of the project). Some artistic and friendly recurrent workshops will be implemented too, in order to add to rhetoric exercises something more funny: singing together). Aims are fixed but we must still (or I have to) describe the specific activities we want to do. I am trying to complete a little more the applicant form (but do not know if it will be possible to access to on Sunday and Monday to finish the form's completion as EU site was malfunctioning all the week ago and was always blocked yesterday!). Let's cross fingers! After thet Io come back to each of you in order to obtain more information of your school's skills and wills (do not forget: if our application is not convincing enough, we'll not have € 250 000... wich is our common target). This type of cooperation must respect 4 objectives (my former message) and be designed to breakdown the work in 4 or 5 packages (modules de travail). I published on the net the list of aims we need to target, and the 5 work packages we'll do. The question is to show what is inside each package and how much money we need.

Reminder the mobilities timeline is presumed to be accepted by all of you (international note ACMÉ2)

Hello my dear colleagues . Please, find in the left column a reminder : first leads for dispatching the Workpackages (as we have edited in the first note). Please consider possible allternatives below knowing we will have to explain why your school has (more than another one) the special skills to fill the needs we have identified. Do not forget ; concretely, the idea is to give the responsibility -or leadership- to some little teams (of 2 schools) but to make all the partners taking part in works on each issue together (reason why we must implement many videoconferences but have also arguments to fund concrete mobilities). This point has no changed since IC1. But now we can ask you if you prefer the former planning or this new one : made AFTER A LOCAL BRAINSTORMING AND YOUR ANSWERS TO INTERNATIONAL NOTE n°1 MODULE 1 (WORKPACKAGE 1) should become WP1: Interlocking scales of citizenship (local-national-continental). A great part of the job is to be implemented in our school programme the 1st school year but any school would have to take part and some of activities may be done during the 2nd year. We are now trying to well understand the « sum lumps » system. I believe it's the moment for you to submit suggests since ina couplme of weeks it wiil be too late. The application will be advanced enough to permit us to ask you questiosn about details but it will be impossible to change the structuration. I am coming back very soon to each of you to give you as a partner some tools to share your ideas. Do not forget it's important to be a member of the « NOAH Ttwinning » even if ESEP is now hosting these sort of projects, and Twinspaces are almost dead (it is only possible to edit some pic/video galleries). Please to send the finacial mandate signed by your headmaster/mistress very quickly (perhaps a copy by mail is necessary) : we cannot wait for the acceptance of the candidacy but are obliged to attach it to the application by now.

L'INITIATIVE NOAH et le New European Bauhaus

 Après que le partenariat  ERASMUSPLUSANIMALS ait été primé par la Commission Européenne, qui lui a décerné le prix du  meilleur projet innovant dans le cadre de l'Innovative Teaching Award AWARD 2022, il est temps de relancer nos coopérations centrées sur  les animaux et la protection de la Biodiversité, lesquelles ont parfois soufferts des effets secondaires de la Pandémie entre 2020 et 2021. Et de prolonger "l'INITIATIVE NOAH". Nouvelle Orientation éducative et écologique.

After the ERASMUSPLUSANIMALS partnership was awarded by the European Commission, which has given us the prize for the best innovative project as part of the Innovative Teaching Award EITA AWARD 2022, it is time to relaunch our cooperation on animals and the protection of Biodiversity, which sometimes suffered from the sad effects of the Pandemic in 2020 and 2021!

First, you must know all the strategy implemented by Ravel High School's project holders and the International League of Teachers (ILARGIA) since 2027 was inspirated by the results of E+A (and the fomer NBE+ project). That is the reason we decided to call this activity  THE NOAH INITIATIVE. It was one in order to make a beautiful future together and help to etablish a "New ecological Order: Animals and Human beings, together".

BEAUTIFUL, SUSTAINABLE, TOGETHER

En mobilisant, lors de nos partenariats de coopération, des compétences scientifiques mais aussi littéraires, en les ponctuant par des performances artistiques et conviviales, nous nous conformions sans le savoir aux exigences du New Bauhaus, le projet de société porté par l'Union Européenne pour construire un futur durable, inclusif et éthique. Et, par ailleurs, nous développions des stratégies réutilisables (pédagogie par objectifs et référentiel, contrôle qualité cadencé, transdisciplinarité).

By mobilising, during our cooperation partnerships, scientific but also literary skills and abilities, punctuating them with artistic and convivial performances, we were unwittingly complying with the requirements of New Bauhaus, the social project carried out by the European Union to building a sustainable, inclusive and ethical future. And, moreover, we developed reusable strategies (pedagogy by objectives and frame of reference, regular quality control, transdisciplinarity).

EMPATHY AND ANIMALS PROTECTION IN THE NEXT ERASMUSMOB TO BE IMPLEMENTED IN OCTOBER, 2022

 WARNING!

Lycée Ravel is to organize in a couple of months the 3rd edition of a special activity ("la semaine de mobilisation en faveur de son ouverture internationale européenne" so called ERASMUSMOB event).

In the framework of this celebration, an exhibition will be done at the High School Library (CDI) by the French Pupils. This exibition's  name will be "Captain Sensible" and be dedicated to legendar and/or real samples of empathy between Human Beings and Animals.

In addition, partners ot the E+L.o.L. partnership visiting Saint Jean de Luz from the 10th to the 14th of october will take part in a boat tour to see dolphins in Cantabric Sea and will go to the cinema to see the sci-fi movie produced by E+A (Noah) teams. There will be also some videoconferences in wich we hope our former Erasmus+ partners will participe.

ERASMUS MOB I (made december, 2020 and presented as the C5 remote study travel) and ERASMUS MOB II (made in november, 2021 in the same time we were guest in the EUROSCOLA virtual session) reports are: in the NOAH transnational public portal.

THE EUROPEAN COOPERATION FOCUSED ON ANIMALS AND EMPATHY  AND COORDINATED BY LYCÉE RAVEL OBTAIN ATTENTION FROM MEDIAS AND INSTITUTIONS:

The French Erasmus+ Agency valorizes ERASMUSPLUS ANIMALS project on its website; E+A (Noah) was held from 2017 to 2020 and partners went on to collaborate thanks to eTwinnings and videoconferences in the framework of ERASMUS MOB I and II (2021, then 2022: after the conclusion).
